Today has been productive and lazy. I guess I have accomplished a few things. I’ve grocery shopped and gotten a manicure and pedicure, but for the most part I have lazed around the house. BUT, I was lazy on my new living room furniture! I lazed around on my new couch with my new throw pillows. While lazing around I watched TV on my new Apple TV with the lovely smell of my new candle. By all accounts it was a very nice day.
My son was eating dinner tonight and I challenged him to try to draw the animals on the back of his cereal box. He wasn’t too into it, so I tried. My artistic abilities are boundless.
Who knew how awesome my artistic abilities were? Not me! Loving the creative start to my 2018. Having so much fun with my new toys and learning how to use all my creative apps, like Paper by FiftyThree. Not only was I able to draw in the app, I was able to cut the individual animals and reorder them on the page.
Same drawing with animals reordered.
The Paper application is awesome! Can’t wait to learn more and improve upon my already awesome artistic abilities. 🙂
In making an effort to notice my surroundings more and in general, to just be more present in the now, I paid attention on my walk today. The picture above is a collage of the words I photographed on my short 1/2 mile walk and below is a poem of how I see them fitting together and what they said to me.
The old should never be old
Rejuvenate and refresh
A fresh look reimagined
You are in Dallas after all
Good thing for me, I was on a walk back from the gym where rejuvenation was the goal and a refreshed mind and attitude was accomplished.
Yay for ME!
side note: The above collage was done in Enlight with pictures taken on my Canon camera. Four pictures cropped, morphed and merged into one. All done on my iPad Pro.
